Comments
(Saturday November 6th, Grand Rapids, MI) - The men's cross country team traveled to Riverside Park in Grand Rapids on Saturday to compete in the WHAC Conference Championship Meet. Four Cardinals ran either their season PR (personal record) or their overall PR. Leading the way was junior, Jim Abrams running his overall personal record of 26:29, a 30 second improvement over his previous PR. This moves him up two spots on the Concordia All-Time Best list, to fourth on the list. "This was a great race for Jim," said Coach Steve Montgomery. "He knew what he wanted to do here and he accomplished his goal. I always knew Jim had it in him, now he knows it too. We are very happy for him."

The next Cardinal across the line was senior, Tyler Case with his season best of 28:29. "This was a great way for Tyler to finish off is cross country career here at Concordia," said Coach Montgomery. "He showed some real determination today."

The Cards next finisher was junior, Ryan Burmeister in his personal best of 29:09. Rounding out the team today was junior Will (Garry) Cantrell in a time of 29:24 and freshmen, Andrew Belt with a PR of 30:13.  Cantrell was the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's runner of the week the final week of the season.  The award was given out last Monday after Cantrell finished 16th in the Concordia Fall Classic!  To read more about the award click on the link below.
